Why we built MaintIQ in-house
Every facilities client wanted the same thing: kill the paper logs. So we stopped quoting custom builds and shipped a product.
We built MaintIQ after the fifth client in a row asked us for the same maintenance system. Paper logs, missed PMs, no asset history. Custom-quoting it every time would have been malpractice.
The repeated pattern
Facilities teams already know what they need: digital SOPs, simple work orders, an asset registry, and a compliance trail their inspectors will accept. Nobody needs a 60-module enterprise CMMS.
What productizing changed
- Onboarding dropped from 6 weeks to 4 days.
- We could finally invest in the boring-but-critical stuff (audit log, role-based access, offline-friendly mobile).
- Clients pay monthly instead of a five-figure project, easier to say yes to.
If your agency is quoting the same custom build three times a year, that is your product. Stop quoting it.
